Flax Bowl: These unusual bowls, with the loop in the bottom center, are used by fiber artists to help ply linen thread. The single-ply threads are immersed in water in the bowl, then drawn through the loop, while being plied on a drop spindle.
These bowls are available unglazed, as is fitting tradition.
