DYE SAMPLER: Build a hassle-free dye sample collection at home without setting up mordant pots! When in the mood to dye something, it's great to have these little pre-mordanted samplers on hand. Strands of our own beautiful white Merino 3-ply yarn are looped onto a 2x3 white tag of .020 styrene with an upper corner hole to tie samples together.
Strands are pre-mordanted with alum (A), copper (C), iron (I), & tin (T), plus one unmordanted (NM) strand; there is no chrome strand. All 5 yarn strands are identified on the tag. These tough tags can be simmered without harm; will curl if boiled, but are still readable. Tags can be wiped clean between dips to add new data with a fine-line permanent pen.
